HSC, equivalent exam results published

The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations 2020 have been published without examination.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the results virtually from Ganobhaban at 10:55am on Saturday.

“We thought we would be able to hold the tests if the coronavirus situation changed. But there is a fresh wave of infections. The results have been announced in the same manner not only in Bangladesh but in other countries of the world,” she said.

Education Minister Dipu Moni received a summary of the results on behalf of the Prime Minister from the chairmen of the education boards.

The HSC and equivalent exams of 2020 were scheduled to begin on April 1. But the exams were cancelled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country.

Candidates can get the results from the education board website http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd/ and also from the websites of their respective education boards.

They also will get results through SMS from 11am.

Parliament on January 24 passed three amendment bills, allowing the government to publish the outcome of exams without actually holding the tests.
