President, PM greet Kenyan President on Independence Day

DHAKA, Dec 12, 2020 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on the occasion of the Jamhuri Day (Independence Day) of the Republic of Kenya on December 12.

President Abdul Hamid, in his congratulatory message, mentioned that Bangladesh and Kenya share excellent relations at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

He conveyed his strong conviction that the close bonds of friendship and cooperation that happily exist between the two countries would acquire momentum in the coming days to the mutual benefit of the two peoples.

In her greetings message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Bangladesh and Kenya enjoy excellent bilateral relations that are marked by common ethos, similar views, quest for development and mutual respect and goodwill.

She pointed out that the present cordial relationship would open up newer opportunities in the mutually beneficial areas of trade and commerce, investment, connectivity, people-to-people contacts and so on through concerted efforts for the common prosperity of the two peoples.

The President and the Prime Minister also extended best wishes for good health, happiness and long life of the President of Kenya and continued peace, progress and prosperity for the friendly people of Kenya.
