Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has decided to keep the drive of removing all overhead cables remained stopped till November.

 

DSCC mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh took the decision at a meeting with Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) and Cable Operators Association of Bangladesh (COAB) on Sunday.

He informed that cable operators will start work of moving the wire through underground from Monday at their own expenses and remove the hanging cables by this November.

On Saturday, the internet service providers and cable operators threatened to shut down their services across the country for three-hour from today.

On October 12, the two organizations–ISPAB and COAB–at a press conference demanded their five-point demands, including of not to remove the hanging wires until any permanent solution.
