 Youth dies falling off roof in Dhaka, family claims murder A youth died after falling from the roof of a five-storey building in Dhaka’s Kanthalbagan area early Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Md Ashiq, 22. The victim’s family, however, claimed that he has been murdered. Ashiq breathed his last on way to Dhaka Medical College hospital (DMCH), Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s senior assistant commissioner (New Market zone) Abul Hasan confirmed. He said they detained the owner of the house and his son over the incident. Ashiq was a drug addict and arrested over drug-related issue, Abul Hasan said. The body was sent to the DMCH morgue. TF |
