Lama Forest Department on Saturday arranged a day-long workshop on wild elephant conservation in Bandarban’s Lama upazila.

They arranged the workshop at Soroi Union Parishad where Lama Forest Department sadar range officer Md. Nur Alam Hafij was present as the chief guest.

Daluchari range official Khairul Alam, Ward No 5 member Farid-ul-Alam, Soroi police outpost IC Abul Hashem, sub-inspector Md. Mohiuddin, among others, were present at the programme.

Topics, including co-existence of man and elephant, saving elephant from electric trap, making elephant sanctuary, were discussed at the workshop.
