Three out of 8 Jashore CDC inmates recaptured Police have recaptured three inmates out of eight who escaped from Jashore Child Development Centre (CDC) early Monday. The escaped inmates were identified as Hridoy, 17, Fardin Durjoy, 15, Abudul Kader, 14, Rohan Gazi, 14, Shohag Sheikh, 17, Munna Gazi, 15, Shah Alam, 14, and Mainur Rahman Shakib, 15. Police detained Hridoy and Durjoy in the afternoon, while Rohan Gazi was captured from his home around 7:30 in the evening.
Police sources said they were quarantined in a building beside the main residential building of the development centre where they broke the grill of toilet and escaped.
The inmates escaped from the centre around 2:15 am, said Zakir Hossain, superintendent of the correctional centre. Superintendent of Jashore Police Muhammad Ashraf Hossain said they are continuing drive to catch the fugitives. SKR/ALM
