Teenager run over by bus in Manikganj A teenage boy died as a bus ran over him at Ghior upazila in Manikganj district on Tuesday noon. Deceased Saeed, 18, was the son of Kurman Ali, a resident of Sholdhara village in Baniajuri union under the upazila.
Witnesses said a bus of Sakura Paribahan ran over him at 12 noon in Pukhria Bus Stand area on the Dhaka-Aricha highway while he was crossing the road, leaving him dead.
Confirming the matter, Ghior Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Azahar Mia said police seized the bus, but its driver managed to flee the scene.
