Four male, female bodies recovered in Munshiganj
Two male and two female bodies were recovered from three different places at Sadar and Sirajdikhan upazilas in Munshiganj district on Wednesday.
Police recovered the bodies of Dipra Mazumder Joy, 28, and Mitu Sarker, 26, from a house at Bagmamudali Golapara in Munshiganj town at about 11:30am.
Dipra Mazumder Joy hailed from Sadar (South) area in Cumilla district, while Mitu Sarker hailed from village Fultola Nomokandi under Munshiganj Sadar upazila.
Family sources said there was a relationship between married Mitu Sarker and married Dipra Mazumder Joy. Dipra Mazumder Joy came to Mitu Sarker’s rented house several days ago.
Munshiganj Sadar Police Station’s Anisur Rahman said one male body and one female body were recovered from Bagmamudali. A CID crime scene team is coming from Dhaka to investigate the detail. It would be possible to say what had happended after postmortem.
Meanwhile, throat-slit body of a 25-year-old woman was found in a roadside ditch at Lotobdi area under Sirajdikhan upazila at about 10:00am.
There are allegations that one Wahab Mia, 70, died when his son Liaqat Sarker, 50, hit him with a stick in sequel to quarrel over land at about 9:00am at village Kalipur in Chitrakot union under the same upazila. Later, Sirajdikhan police recovered his body.
