3 fraud gang men held for blackmailing teenage girls Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have detained three fraud gang members from Professor Para area in Joypurhar district town on charge of blackmailing teenage girls. Three victim girls were also rescued during the drive that took place at early hours of Saturday. The detained three are –Minu Akhter, 20, wife of Mehedi Hasan of the municipal area, Sumon Ahmed, 29, and his wife Mousumi Akhter, 20, residents of Gulshan More area. Joypurhat camp commander additional superintendent of police MM Mohaimenur Rashid said that the gang has been blackmailing the teenage girls for a long time behind in guise of a dance group. On secret information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the area early today and detained the trio from the scene alongwith six mobile phones. SI/TF |
