Baimhati Government Primary School selected as best school Baimhati Government Primary School in Tangail’s Mirzapur upazila has been selected as the best primary school in the country. Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Sunday selected the school on the occasion of National Primary Education Week 2019, deputy secretary of the ministry Shamim Ara Najnin confirmed the matter on Monday. According to school sources, it was established in 1973 and has now 505 students. Earlier, the school had been selected several times as the best school at the upazila as well as in the district level. Besides, it upheld second position in Dhaka devision-2 category for spreading primary education. The school principal Hosne Ara Akter said, ” the award is not our alone. It is for all teachers and student of the school and inhabitants of the upazila”. Regarding the matter, the upazila education officer and the school ad hoc committee president Marufa Khatun said the award could be achieved because of sincerity and integrity of all the teacher.
