How is it that a dog and a gopher can get along better than human beings with divergent political views?

Well, that was the case at Golden Gate Park in San Fran, when Fiona, a Great Pyrenees came upon a gopher hole and, low and behold, a critter emerged and mesmerized the pooch.
The gopher seems as curious as Fiona, repeatedly popping out of the tiny cave and staring at the much larger creature, who is equally intrigued.
So, as the election approaches, can we be like gophers and dogs … sadly, doesn’t seem likely.
