Tamim hopes Tigers to do well in Sri Lanka tour
Bangladesh experienced campaigner Tamim Iqbal said that tourist has a good chance to do well in the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, report agencies.
BCB will fly to Sri Lanka in September to play the three-match Test series against the host that was postponed earlier and Bangladesh team might have a training camp but the date is yet to be finalized.
“During these four months, BCB had instructed session for us so that we are mentally ok. I personally did two or three sessions and it helped me. But this four-month was not easy and we must regain the best possible mental state after coming out from it because we have a big tour. I believe we have a good chance,” said Tamim.
Tamim also praised the Bangladesh Cricket Board for the organised way it was conducting the training at its facilities and said that all the national team players were working on themselves while keeping the impending tour of Sri Lanka in mind.
He further added, “The way we are doing everything in a systematic manner, I find it very positive. Hopefully, we will continue like this. We know that there is a date when our matches will begin. So everyone is preparing themselves accordingly for the Test matches.”
