Nepal to start training for Bangladesh friendlies
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) decided to start football training after their Dashain festival for friendlies against Bangladesh following approval from their sports council.
Bangladesh started training in early August for World Cup Qualifiers in October and November but FIFA/AFC deferred the qualifiers to next year due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis and BFF was seeking to utilise FIFA’s November window for friendly matches and proposed ANFA to play friendly matches in November.
BFF had proposed to play two friendly matches with Nepal during the FIFA window of November 11-19. The venue for the matches are yet to be confirmed.
Earlier, ANFA had scheduled training from August 17 for upcoming FIFA World cup qualifiers but the government didn’t allow them to hold sessions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
