Bangabandhu V-day Volleyball begins tomorrow
Bangabandhu Victory Day Volleyball competition begins on Saturday at Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the city Palton, reports BSS.
Organised by Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF), a total of nine teams, including Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense party, Bangladesh Power Development Board and Titas Club, will compete in the meet.
Apart from nine men’s teams, three women’s teams are also going to take part in the competition for the first time.
In this regard, a press conference was held today at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium to provide all the details of the meet.
BVF general secretary Ashikur Rahman Miku, tournament committee’s secretary and BVF joint secretary advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul, BBF treasurer Asim Saha, BBF members Zahirul Islam Chowdhury and Kazi Abdul Hannan, were among others, present in the press conference.
The organisers said they are going to arrange the competition to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The expenditure of the competition will be met from the federation fund, the organisers added.
