Why JMI Chairman’s bail should not be scrapped, asks HC The High Court (HC) on Monday issued a rule asking as to why it shall not scrap the bail to JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Ltd chairman Abdur Razzak granted by a lower court in a case filed over supplying fake N-95 masks. A virtual High Court bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Ahmed Sohel passed the order on Monday after holding hearing on a revision plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The court also fixed December 13 to hold hearing in this regard. Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik confirmed the matter. On October 15, Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayesh granted bail to Razzak. ACC deputy director Md Nurul Huda filed the case on September 29 against six officials of Central Medical Store Depot (CMSD) and JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Ltd chairman Abdur Razzak. LY |
