Sheikh Hasina is role model of economic emancipation: Quader
DHAKA, Sep 28, 2020 (BSS)- Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the role model of economic emancipation of the nation as the country has made an unprecedented progress and development under her dynamic leadership.
“Bangabandhu brought geographical emancipation of this soil while his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the role model of economic emancipation of the nation,” he told a doa and milad mahfil marking the 74th birthday of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina at the party’s central Bangabandhu Avenue office.
Quader, also minister for road transport and bridges, said as Sheikh Hasina returned to the country defying all conspiracies and hurdles during the period of General Ziaur Rahman’s military rule, Bangladesh has made a turnaround to be a Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Bangabandhu.
He said Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been working tirelessly to materialize his father’s dream to bring smiles on the faces of the distressed people of this soil.
The minister said the premier got global accolades for her efficiency, prudence and farsighted leadership in facing the Rohingya crisis, natural disasters and pandemic.
He said Sheikh Hasina set a unique example of generosity by opening the border for the persecuted Rohingya community and that is why she has been conferred with the recognition of ‘Mother of Humanity’.
Because of Sheikh Hasina, the killers of 1975 massacre and war criminals were brought to justice and the nation got freed from the stigma.
Quader said Sheikh Hasina is not only an ordinary head of the government rather she is a successful statesman.
She does not do politics for the next general election rather she works for the wellbeing of the next generation and that is why she has taken the 100-year long delta plan, he added.
The AL general secretary said Bangabandhu’s family is the unique example of honesty and transparency in the country’s politics.
He said Sheikh Hasina makes herself an extraordinary personality by leading a simple life in spite of being head of the government. She is the great source of inspiration to go ahead, he said.
Quader wished her long and healthy life.
