None involved in ASP Anisul’s death to be spared: Minister



Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has ensured that action would be taken after investigation against those responsible for the death of senior ASP Anisul Karim Shipon.

“None responsible for the death will be spared. All engaged in the incident to be brought to justice after investigation,” said the minister while talking to reporters at his office on Wednesday.

“So far, we know that ASP Shipon had gone to a hospital for taking treatment. From there, at one stage he had been taken to the Mind Aid Hospital for better treatment. We’ve seen in a video footage that a scuffle had been taken place between the hospital staff and Shipon. Doctors at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases informed that he was died at one stage of the scuffle,” he added.

Asaduzzaman Khan also said that justice will be ensured after getting the investigation report.

He informed that so far, 11 people, including three director-level officials of the hospital, have been arrested in this connection.

Anisul Karim Shipon , the assistant commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police’s traffic department, was taken to Mind Aid Hospital in city’s Adabor area around 11:45am on Monday for treatment. But, he died soon after admission in the hospital.

Later, a video of beating Anisul Karim Shipon in the Aggressive Management Room of Mind Aid Hospital has gone viral on social media.

The victim’s father Faizuddin Ahmed lodged a murder case with Adabor Police Station early Tuesday accusing some 15 people.
