Paying rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Awami League Advisory council member Tofail Ahmed on Tuesday said the nation will never forget Bangabandhu for his outstanding contribution to the nation.
“Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had struggled in his whole life for the right and freedom of the Bangalee nation and the nation will never forget such a great leader”, he said while participating in a discussion on Bangabandhu brought by parliament leader Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina under section 147 of the rules of procedure in Housemarking the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman here.
Recalling the contribution of the great leader, Tofail said the Bangalee nation never could achieve the freedom if the great leader like Bangabandhu was not born. “We are now independent under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, so the people will never forget you”, he added.
After emergence of Pakistan state, he said, Bangabandhu had realized that the Pakistan had not crated for the Bangalees and that’s why he [Bangabandhu] had established student and youth front organizations.
Tofail told the parliament that many leaders would come in the world, but the leader like Bangabandhu will not come again as he loved his countrymen very much.
Describe the arrival of Sheikh Hasina to her homeland in 1981, the ruling party advisory council member said Bangabandhu is no more today, but his successor Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to change the country to materialize the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
