Murad asks all to follow health guidelines to fight COVID-19
DHAKA, Nov 22, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan
today said as the second wave of COVID-19 may hit the country during the
upcoming winter season, everyone must follow the health guidelines as set by
the government to prevent outbreak of the virus.
As part of awareness programme, the minister distributed masks in city’s
Karwan Bazar area to raise awareness among people about Covid-19
(coronavirus).
‘Samprity Bangladesh’, a citizens’ platform promoting secularism, organised
the awareness programme where Member Secretary of the organization Dr Mamun
Al Mahtab and actor Pijush Bandyopadhyay spoke, said a press release.
The state minister said, “When almost the entire world is struggling to
control coronavirus situation, Bangladesh has been able to contain the
outbreak of coronavirus. Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has achieved adequate capacity through taking all
necessary initiatives to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.”
Bangladesh witnessed lower COVID-19 fatality rate as the government has
taken multiple preventive measures to deal with the pandemic, he added.
