Dhaka, Dec 29, 2020, (BSS) – Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque urged historians and researchers to be more active in presenting the complete history of the Liberation War to the nation.
He made the call while meeting the leaders of the National Committee to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the First Armed Resistance Day at the Minister’s Office this afternoon, said a press release issued here.
The Minister said many incidents and facts of the great Liberation War including the history of the first resistance in Gazipur on March 19, 1971 are still unknown to many.
“Independence through Liberation War is the greatest achievement of the Bengali nation. Every event, every sacrifice on the way to this achievement is important to history,” he said.
He said the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has taken initiative to preserve every history associated with the memory of the great Liberation War.
During the meeting, Dhaka University Professor Dr Hafiza Khatun, journalist Ashraf Khan, Ataur Rahman, Bulbul Ahmed, Md. Al Mamun were present.
