KMP boss asks lawmen to ensure security during Puja
KHULNA, Oct 12, 2020 (BSS) – Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Commissioner Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan asked law enforcers to perform duties with utmost sincerity and integrity to ensure security during Durga Puja, the highest religious festival of the Hind community.
He was exchanging views with the members of different law enforcement agencies, KCC, Puja Udjapon Parishad, Khulna Press Club, Community Policing Forum and professional bodies at the KMP headquarter ahead of Durga Puja on Sunday afternoon.
Everybody should follow the health guidelines and maintain social distancing during visit to the Puja Mandaps, he said.
“At least 10 devotees will enter the Puja Mandaps at a time after sanitizing hand and wearing masks,” he said.
The KMP boss urged leaders of Puja Udjapon Committee to make local representatives, civil society leaders, community policing forum and volunteers involved in smooth celebration of Durga Puja, saying close circuit cameras, metal detectors, archway gate and traffic control system will be set up ahead of Durga Puja.
Additional KMP Commissioners (Crime) S M Fazlur Rahman, Sarder Rakibul Islam (A&O), Deputy Police Commissioners, officials of different law enforcement agencies, local public representatives, among others, attended the meeting.
