Youth jailed for keeping drugs in Sherpur A youth was jailed for six months by a mobile court in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur for keeping drugs. A team of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) challenged a gang of youths when they were staying at Barmari Bazar Bus Station area around 8pm on Monday with two bottles of Indian liquor. At one stage of chasing, the team detained Rubel Hossain from the scene but other gang members managed to flee. The BGB also seized four motorcycles and the liquor. Later, the mobile court, led by executive magistrate Mahfuzul Alam, gave Rubel Hossain the jail term. TF |
