Youth held for spreading girl’s nude photo on internet in Madaripur Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a young man from Rajoir upazila in Madaripur district on Tuesday afternoon for his alleged involvement in spreading a girl’s nude photos through internet.
Detained Md Shahidul Islam, is a resident of Pashchim Bishnupur village under the upazila, said RAB-8 Madaripur camp commander SP Mohammad Tajul Islam through a press release.
SP Tajul said the accused have developed a love affair with the girl through social media.
He took some nude photos from the girl through WhatsApp and have long been offering to the girl an indecent proposal.
He circulated those using the app as she denied the proposal. The photos, later, went viral on social media.
Being aware about the issue, the girl has broken mentally and she, later, lodged a complaint to the RAB.
Later, the elite force members raided the rented houses of the youth at Sarmangal village and nabbed him, said SP Tajul.
He was handed over to Rajoir Police Station said the RAB official, adding that the victim lodged a case with the police station under the Pornography Control Act.
