Principal of Sirajganj Ullapara Government Akbar Ali College has died of coronavrirus.

Prof SM Wahiduzzaman, 57, breathed his last at Asgar Ali Hospital in Dhaka around 9:30 am on Sunday.

He tested positive for the deadly virus on October 14.

As his health condition deteriorated, he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

The professor was kept on life support for 20 days and later, he died this morning.

He was the principal of the College for about 4 years.

Ullapara MP Tanveer Imam and vice-principal of the collage Ashabul Haque expressed their deep shock at the death of Prof SM Wahiduzzaman.

His body was taken to his village home at Sharankhola of Bagerhat district. He will be buried there with maintaining health guidelines.
