Madrasa super arrested on charge of raping student Police arrested a madrasa superintendent at Paikgachha upazila in Khulna district on Tuesday in a case filed over rape of his student. Arrested Habibur Rahman is the superintendent of Lashkar-e-Paikgachha Islamia Dakhil Madrasa in the upazila. According to the case statement, Habibur took the girl, a class IV student, to Madrasa from her house on Monday (November 30) for an examination. The accused sent all the students to home except the victim. Later, Habibur allegedly raped the girl in his room in the madrasa. The girl went back to home in tears and disclosed the matter to her family members. The victim’s maternal grandfather filed a case with Paikgachha Police Station on Wednesday. The Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Ejaz Shafi said police arrested the accused and sent the victim to hospital for medical test. |
