Upazila Department of Fisheries on Monday night seized five maunds of jatka (hilsa fry less than 10 inches in length) from Chattogram’s Anwara upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by upazila senior fisheries official Rashidul Haque conducted a drive at Fakirhat fish ware house and seized five maunds of jatka.

The seized fish was distributed in eight orphanages.
