Disheartened by order, youth kills self on court premises Failing to get back his wife and son after a court order, a young man committed suicide on the court premises in Habiganj district on Monday. Deceased Hafizur Rahman,30, was the son of Noor Mia of suburban Kamrapur area. Police have recovered body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Quoting family members, police said Hafizur’s wife Bushra Begum,25, alongwith her son has recently went to her father’s home following a family feud. Hafizur was repeatedly refused by Bushra to go with him. Later, Hafizur had filed a case with a magistrate court under Section 100 of CrPC to get back his wife and child. On Monday, Bushra gave her depositions in the court and refused to go back with her husband. Following his refusal, Bushra’s father was awarded the custody of his daughter by the court. Hearing the court order, Hafizur came out of the courtroom and stabbed himself on chest, leaving him critically injured. Hafizur died on way to Sylhet hospital, said Sadar Police Station OC Dous Mohammad. LY |
