Couple crushed under bus on Airport Road A man and his wife were killed when a bus smashed their motorcycle at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport area in the capital on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Akash Iqbal, 33, and his wife Maya Hazarika, 25, residents of Dakkhin Mollartek.
When they reached near Padma Oil gate around 7am, a running bus of ‘Ajmeri Paribahan’ rammed into the motorbike of Akash, leaving the couple dead on the scene.
Police, however, seized the bus but its driver managed to flee. The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
