4 trapped students rescued at Himchhari

DHAKA, Dec 19, 2020 (BSS) – Four trapped students were rescued from
a remote hill in Himchhari area of Cox’s Bazar today with the help of
the Bangladesh Air Force today.

A search and rescue helicopter of the Bangladesh Air Force rescued
the students and brought them to Cox’s Bazar Airport, said an ISPR
press release.

Those students came to visit and lost their way in the remote hills
of Darianagar under Himchhari area this morning and called ‘999’
(National Emergency Service).

Later, Bangladesh Air Force’s Base Zahurul Haque, Chattogram formed
a search and rescue team to assist the civilian administration under
‘In Aid to Civil Power’ and sent the helicopter to rescue them.

Under this ‘In Aid to Civil Power’, the Bangladesh Air Force has
continued to provide emergency air transport and medical evacuation
(MEDEVAC) assistance with professionalism to ensure its commitment to
assist the civilian administration.
